English Martyrs’ is a Roman Catholic Primary School provided by the Diocese of Salford and is maintained by the Trafford Local Education Authority as a Voluntary Aided School.
The school’s Governing Body is the Admissions Authority and is responsible for taking decisions on applications for admissions. The planned admissions number is 30. Admission to the school will be made by the Governing Body in accordance with the stated parental preference it receives by the Local Authority, subject to the following set of criteria which will be used to form a priority order if there are more applications for admission than the school has places available.

Children in Trafford are eligible to start school in the September before their 5th birthday. If your child was born between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022, and you wish to apply for a place in any state funded primary school or academy, you must make your application to Trafford.

It is important that you apply on time because any application received after 15 January 2026 will only be considered after all other on time applications have been allocated and it may be the case that all the places at the school/s of your choice will have been allocated to on time applicants.
